Medication: Central Columbia School District will administer prescribed medication during school hours when absolutely necessary. When medication must be given during school hours, designated school personnel will be permitted to administer or supervise the self-administration of the prescribed medication. This medication must be provided in the original labeled pharmaceutical container and delivered to the school nurse by a parent or guardian. The request form, completed in its entirety, must be presented to the school nurse prior to the administration of the medication. The administration of non-prescription medications adheres to the aforementioned guidelines with the exception of the physician's signature.  Permission for the administration of Tylenol or Motrin, available through the  health office, is indicated on the Sapphire Parent Portal medical form by the parent or guardian.
