Medical Sciences Program

4-year PDE-approved career technical education program
- Students learn subject matter and technical skills that are applicable to a wide variety of medical/healthcare career areas, including:
  - physical therapy,
  - occupational therapy,
  - nursing,
  - sports medicine,
  - exercise science,
  - athletic training
Classes in the program include:
- Health Systems/Professions,
- Medical Terminology,
- Sports Nutrition,
- Sports Medicine,
- Physiology,
- Healthcare Evidence/Research,
- Kinesiology,
- Clinical Experience,
- Practicum,
- Capstone
Students will have opportunities to observe professionals in a variety of different professional settings – hospitals, doctor’s offices, rehabilitation centers, health clubs
Qualified students will have internship opportunities in settings that relate to their desired career areas
Students who complete the medical sciences program courses and earn a passing score on the end-of-program test (NOCTI) will qualify for up to 12 college credit hours at East Stroudsburg University
