Educ. Tours and Trip Requests

NOTICE: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
The principal or delegated approving authority reserves the right to deny any trip request based on the student's academic standing, attendance record, and/or disciplinary status during the current school year, or for insufficient justification. Absences resulting from unapproved trips will be classified as unlawful/unexcused.

This form should be submitted two (2) weeks prior to the date of departure. It is understood by each student and parent that classwork missed during the period of absence will be made up. Requests should be sent to the Building Principal, who will be responsible for making the decision.

CCSD Educational Trip Leave Approval Policy

Parents and students are advised approved educational trips are limited to 5 days per school year for any student. Days exceeding this limit will be considered unlawful absences. Approval of educational trip requests will be based on a review of each student's academic, attendance, and disciplinary standing, as well as the trip justification and timeliness of the request. Requests shall be submitted using the form available under the Parent tab of our school's website. All requests shall be submitted at least two weeks before the requested trip date and include the destination and justification in the itinerary. Upon trip approval, students are responsible for communicating with their teachers in advance to coordinate the completion of any schoolwork that will be assigned during their absence.
