Mr. Groshek is an alumnus of Central Columbia High School.  He earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education from Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.  Mr. Groshek completed and earned a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and his Principal's Certificate from Wilkes University.  He earned his Letter of Eligibility from Marywood University.

Mr. Groshek began his career teaching on the island of Lanai, Hawaii in 1993 as a 6th grade math teacher.  After 1 year on Lanai, he jumped islands and spent the next 2 years on Maui, teaching Biology.  Mr. Groshek then continued his teaching career in Charlotte, North Carolina where he taught 1 year of mathematics to 8th grade students.  In August of 1998, Mr. Groshek was hired by the Central Columbia School District to teach 7th grade Algebra and Life Sciences.  In 2001, he became the assistant principal for the Central Columbia Elementary and Middle Schools.  In July 2006, he became the Central Columbia High School Principal where he served the district until 2019.  Beginning in 2019, Mr. Groshek began serving the district as the Superintendent.

Mr. Groshek is married to Rondel, also a Central Columbia alumnus.  They have 2 daughters, Emily and Alison, who both graduated from Central Columbia and are in the education field as Secondary Math Teachers.  In his free time, Mr. Groshek enjoys hunting, camping, and traveling with his family and friends.
