Students and Staff -

We are enforcing a new mandate starting next year for all sporting events.  The athletic department will no longer allow fans to bring objects into the sporting events that are meant to be thrown/kicked around (footballs, soccer balls, frisbees, etc...).  Please leave these objects at home or in your cars.  If you bring them into the sporting event, you will either be asked to take them back to your vehicles or they will be confiscated by the athletic staff working the event.  Please read below for the official statement from the athletic department.

TO ALL,

The following sporting event policy will be effective at the start of the Central Columbia School District 2023-24 school year fall sports season:

Objects whose design or intent are to be thrown, such as footballs, baseballs, softballs, beach balls and frisbees, among others, will be prohibited from being brought into our stadium or near any other field of play on our campus during any official sporting event.

Persons attempting to enter in or around an official sporting event with any such object will be requested to store the object for safekeeping in a location outside the event location before being allowed to enter the event area.

Persons found in possession of any such object while in or at a sporting event shall be allowed to relinquish the object to school administration/athletic director for its return at a later time or exit the event to store the object for safekeeping outside the event location.  School administration/athletic director will have the discretion to decide whether a violator of this portion of the sorting event policy will be permitted to return to the sporting event.

School administration/athletic director have the authority to prohibit entry of, or remove, any person violating this sporting event policy from the sporting event as well as prohibit them from attending future sporting events on our campus.

This sporting event policy has been created to ensure the safety of sporting event participants and spectators at all events occurring on our campus.
